‘Safe Trails’ app

‘Safe Trails’: A New Croatian App for Safety in the Mountains

‘Safe trails’ is an application promoting active tourism in Croatia’s mountainous regions.

This innovative app gives mountaineers and nature-lovers the chance to explore lesser known paths and terrains. The ‘Safe Trails’ app has been developed under the patronage of Croatia’s Ministry for Tourism and Sport, in collaboration with the Croatian Mountaineering Association and the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service. It is an invaluable tool for everyone who loves mountain hiking and mountaineering.

A unique feature of this app is the interactive map of he Republic of Croatia, which allows users to create their own itineraries, explore terrains, paths, buildings, climbing areas and peaks. The app is especially valuable because it is based on the completely reliable database drawn up by the Croatian Mountaineering Association’s Register of mountain paths. This guarantees the most exact information about the trails, offering users security and confidence for their mountaineering adventures.

The aim of the app is not simply to encourage a love of nature and mountaineering, but also to promote active tourism in areas which are not generally easily accessible. Through the collaboration with relevant bodies and organizations, ‘Safe Trails’ aims to improve safety on the mountains and to increase communication with users.

A key partner in developing the app is the Croatian Mountaineering Association, whose professional engagement and expertise ensure that the information about the trails is accurate and up-to-date. Equally, cooperation with the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service carries with it the security of emergency help and rescue services when needed.

So, the ‘Safe Trails’ app is an invitation to people to explore the beauty of Croatia’s mountain regions, promoting a healthy lifestyle, active tourism and nature conservation. By utilising the app, users will not only discover new destinations and trails, but will contribute to responsible mountaineering and become aware of the need to preserve these invaluable natural assets.

As stated, with the support of Croatia’s Ministry of Tourism and Sport, this innovative application opens the doors to new mountaineering experiences. ‘Safe Trails’ sets new standards for exploring mountain regions, with the emphasis on safety and reliable information.
