New web-page for the ‘Za Križen’ Processions

We are proud to present our new website dedicated to the unique Maundy Thursday all-night Processions which have been taking place in central Hvar for several centuries. Titled ZaKrizen.hr, (‘Following the Cross‘) the website gives Croatian and foreign visitors detailed knowledge of the tradition, history and significance of this extra special event which is inscribed in the UNESCO lists of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

There is a wealth of material on the ‘Za Križen’ website, with photographs, videos and an interactive map showing the Procession route, alongside the historical facts pertaining to this long-standing tradition. There are also up-to-date news items, the timetable of events for the upcoming Processions, as well as information and advice about how you can take part.
