Research into local people’s attitudes to tourism
The Jelsa Municipality Tourist Board is currently preparing a Management Plan for our Destination, a strategy document to set the direction for the development of tourism in our municipality over the next four years. As part of this we are researching local attitudes towards tourism and its effect on their quality of life.
Your opinions and experience matter to us!
Tourism plays a significant role in shaping our everyday lives, including offering employment opportunities, the development of local infrastructures, environmental protection also in preserving our cultural identity and social cohesion. Your involvement, as residents in the Jelsa Municipality, is needed so that we can truly reflect the needs and priorities of our local community.
So please spare just five to ten minutes to fill in our anonymous questionnaire, the results of which will form the basis for making informed decisions about the measures needed for the best future development of our destination.
Why is your input important?

The questionnaire is completely anonymous and all the data collected will be used exclusively for the stated aims of this research.

The link to the online anonymous questionnaire is currently available in Croatian only, with the English version yet to come.
There is a parallel questionnaire researching visitor satisfaction in English and four other languages besides Croatian. It is aimed at all types of visitors, including those staying in their own or their friends’ holiday homes, those overnighting in different types of paid accommodation and those on day trips.
It will be greatly help the research if you can ask visiting friends and guests to take the time to fill in the questionnaire!
