Family-friendly Jelsa is proud of its restaurants. One of them is certainly the restaurant “Pelago”, located in the heart of the town of Jelsa, only 40 meters from the beautiful Jelsa waterfront, created for relaxed evening walks.
The name Pelago tells the story of the beautiful blue sky meeting the sea. In the stone streets of the centre of Jelsa, near the square of St. Ivana you will find this charming restaurant. The atmosphere exudes a traditional Hvar flair, surrounded with the stone walls of the family house.

Owners Marija and Ivo Marić will welcome you with a smile on their faces, present the destination through the eyes of a local resident and make sure that the dinner is unforgettable. The restaurant, which dates to 1994 has a total of 85 seats which makes it suitable for smaller but also larger gatherings, celebrations, and events.
The owners give special attention to the preparation of fresh Dalmatian dishes and the quality of food. We offer Dalmatian cuisine, including fish dishes, which we prepare with lots of love and attention. We recommend a selection of fresh white sea fish meals, as well as veal and lamb meals (in this occasion please make sure to make a reservation the day before).

Dalmatian pasticada, the queen dish in Dalmatian cuisine served with homemade gnocchi or macaroni will fill each mouth with a unique combination of flavours. With the benefits of nature on the island of Hvar, you will be able to enjoy authentic Dalmatian cuisine and a range of Hvar wines.

Dalmatia is proud of the palette of brandies made from indigenous plants of the island of Hvar, so be sure to try martini brandy. For the youngest ones, pizza baked in baker’s oven may be the best choice.
