Tavern Dvor Duboković
The village of Pitve (Pithyeia) is situated in the central part of the island of Hvar, only 2.5 km from Jelsa on the road to Zavala. This tavern is in the heart of the village and has a beautiful ambience with a garden full of cherry, sour cherry, pomegranate trees, as well as beautiful roses.
The terrace offers a breathtaking view of the island of Brač, the mountain Biokovo, vineyards and olive groves.
The tavern serves dishes prepared in the baking bell ‘peka’ (veal / lamb with potatoes, octopus with potatoes prepared according to the recipe of the host, Pater Familias, Mr. Ivica Dubokovic), as well as other specialties of Dalmatian cuisine: fish dishes; grill, fish stew, broths, risottos; meat dishes: grill, pasticada with homemade gnocchi, pork loin with thyme, beefsteak in green pepper sauce, various soups, as well as vegetarian dishes.
We recommend trying each meal with wines from the family cellar produced by the winemaker, Mr. Ivica Dubokovic.
The tavern also serves homemade liqueurs such as grapefruit, herbs, rosin, cherries, and carob liquor.
