‘Trim’ Non-Profit Association

The ‘TRIM’ Association

Using a unique combination of tradition, imagination and innovation, the ‘Trim‘ Association contributes to improving the quality of life on Hvar Island, by instigating positive change in response to the community’s needs. It is a non-profit organization working for social advancement

Our activities are based on recognizing and preserving original, natural and cultural values, and building up the capacities of various stakeholders, as well as increasing the inclusion of socially sensitive groups in the sustainable development of the island’s community.

We support citizen responsibility, gender equality, social sensitivity, solidarity, justice and respect for individuality. With a developed civil society in collaboration with the local authority, progress is not only possible but visible.

We gather together enthusiasts, creative people and family farming companies (Obiteljsko poljoprivredno gospodarstvo – OPG) who are working using tradition and imagination, to establish something worthwhile, new and creative alongside the natural and cultural riches of the island. We initiate new, innovative and creative activities and products and promote social / communal entrepreneurship in order to further economic development.

Products made by members of the ‘Trim‘ Association

Some members of our Association have family farming businesses through which they cultivate traditional plants such as lavender, olives and vines, and using the abundance of aromatic plants make first-class edible and cosmetic products with unique tastes and scents.

Other members make original souvenirs, useful and decorative items based on traditional and innovative modern creative techniques, as well as focussing on recycling and re-designing items using natural or man-made materials.
