Days of The European Network of Holy Week and Easter Celebration

The European Network of Holy Week and Easter Celebration is a cultural route that is preparing to apply to become a Cultural Route of the Council of Europe. The route represents an international network of tourist destinations known for their exceptional ways of celebrating Holy Week and Easter each year. This initiative brings together 18 different towns and cities located in five European countries.

This impressive route is supported by the European Network of Associations dedicated to the celebration of Holy Week and Easter. This network represents diverse locations, each with its unique cultural heritage and traditions of celebrating these important Christian holidays. Through collaboration and exchange of experiences, this network promotes the preservation and promotion of cultural richness intertwined with the beliefs and customs of Holy Week and Easter.

These cities and places have become renowned for their passionate and authentic celebration of the holidays. Their celebrations attract not only believers but also people eager to explore diverse cultural expressions and traditions. Through their unique customs, processions, artistic performances, and solemn ceremonies, these places provide visitors with a deeper insight into the spiritual and cultural significance of Holy Week and Easter.

This cultural route represents a significant step towards recognizing the importance of these holidays and their impact on European cultural diversity. The effort to become a Cultural Route of the Council of Europe further highlights the value of these traditions and encourages their protection and promotion at the international level. Through this joint endeavor, the European Network of Holy Week and Easter Celebration contributes to the preservation of European cultural heritage for present and future generations.
