COMIC OPERA: ‘ERO S ONOGA SVIJETA’

Excerpts from one of Croatia’s best-known comic operas, ‘Ero from the other world’, sometimes translated as ‘Ero the Joker’, by Jakov Gotovac. Performers will be the Croatian ensemble ‘Opera Croatica’ and the folklore group ‘KUD Pleter’.

Members of the ensemble are:
Vlado Garić (Ero), Maja Andrijolić (Đula), Božo Župić (gazda Marko), Ivona Bosančić Lasić (Doma), Marko Lasić (mlinar Sima), Veton Marevci (klavir)

The event will be held on Thursday 26th August 2022 in front of Jelsa’s parish church on the Cross-Bearers’ Square, just one of the many events celebrating the 70th anniversary of Jelsa’s ‘Wine Festival’ / ‘Fešta vina’.

You may not be able to understand the words, but you can still enjoy the music and the fun atmosphere, all the more so if you read about the plot on the internet!
