Merry Balog circus

The main heroes of this show, dynamic and cheerful, just right for the youngest, are the circus clowns Bong and Tong. They live to entertain children with their crazy clowning and magic tricks. At one point, they conclude that there is no place for their clowning in the modern world filled with virtual games, so they decide to take off their red noses and look for a new job. Through the search for a new occupation, they speak selected verses of Zvonimir Balog from his collection “One Hundred Occupations”, and through rhymes and acting they conjure up a model, a football player, a plumber, a nurse and others. In the end, Bong and Tong return to their profession of clowning because they conclude that the greatest gift of a man is if he works in the profession he loves and that such work eventually becomes a gift, which is the point of Balog’s text “Instead of Afterwords”, which says that if work read backwards, we get a gift.

In addition to beautiful and witty lines, clowns Bong and Tong also perform magician and clown acts. Throughout the performance, they interact with the audience, and the children are part of the entire performance. The play is cheerful, entertaining and educational.
