Municipality of Jelsa Day and the Feast of the Assumption

The Municipality of Jelsa will once again ceremonially celebrate the Day of the Municipality of Jelsa and the Feast of the Assumption, with a rich program taking place during the week leading up to the holiday. Residents and visitors can look forward to a series of cultural and entertainment events that will further enrich the summer atmosphere in Jelsa.

The celebration program will include smaller concerts by musicians, folklore performances, and the participation of the local cultural association (KUD), presenting the rich tradition and cultural heritage of the area. These events will provide an opportunity for socializing, enjoying music, and preserving local customs.

On Friday, August 14, a Ceremonial Session of the Municipal Council of the Municipality of Jelsa will be held. This event will be closed to the public.

The central part of the celebration will take place on the Feast of the Assumption itself, August 15, at Pjaca Square in Jelsa. Starting at 9:30 PM, the audience can look forward to a major concert by Marko Pecotić. Afterward, the popular band Elite will continue the entertainment, ensuring a great atmosphere until the late evening hours.
