Set in then Yugoslavia in the late 1980s, a beloved uncle comes home from Germany for the Christmas holidays bearing gifts for the family. The reunited family gathers for a traditional Croatian Christmas lunch. The joyful gathering is interrupted suddenly by a mobile phone ringing – it seems this is not really the 1980s, nor is it Christmas.
