The Mina Campsite

The ‘Mina’ campsite is about 500 m from the center of Jelsa, and only 20 m from the sea. It is mostly surrounded by pine trees and numerous stone, pebble and sandy beaches, many of which are suitable for children.

The camp can accommodate up to 200 guests. It has electrical connections, new toilets and showers with hot water. Only 10 m away from the camp you can find many restaurants, bars, tennis courts, golf course, the possibility to rent bicycles, mopeds and cars. In the nearby hotel there is regular evening entertainment.

Here you will enjoy the peace and quiet away from the town center, which is a ten-minute walk away.

There are many beaches to choose form near the camp, and you do not have to go far to find quiet places where you can be alone. The best-known pebble beach suitable for children is Mina, just 100 m from the camp. Further away heading east, 1.5 km from Jelsa, is the Grebišće beach, a popular sandy beach with two coves – Vela and Mola Grebišća.

4 km east from Jelsa is the Vala sv. Luke (St. Luke’s Cove) – a sandy beach where there is also an archeological site containing the remnants of a Roman villa maritima and pottery. The cove’s special landmark is the charming little chapel of St. Luke, right by the sea. Nearby, there is a bathing place called Zenčišća, which used to serve the abandoned hotel complex over the road above the beach.

On the opposite side of the bay from the Mina beach is the Bočić beach, a newly arranged bathing zone just 300m from the town on the other other side from the camp.

The innumerable secluded coves and hidden beaches are just one part of the charms of Hvar Island for visitors to experience!
