JELSA: Spraying against insects will be carried out on Wednesday August 7th 2024 from 22:30 to 04:00 on Thursday 8th August 2024.
STARI GRAD: Spraying against insects will be carried out on Thursday 8th August 2024 from 23:00 to 04:00 on Friday 9th August 2024.
HVAR TOWN spraying action also on 7th August 2024 starting from 10:30 pm to 4 am.
In the case of bad weather, the spraying will be delayed by a day.
Despite the false assurances of the implementing company that the substance used is harmless to warm-blooded creatures, this is far from the truth: every year dangerous insecticides are used, usually pyrethroids, which can be fatal to cats, highly toxic to dogs, also very harmful to humans, and of course devastating for bees, other pollinators and the insects which birds feed on.
The company recommends that people, especially those with breathing problems, should close all windows, doors and shutters, and beekeepers should close their hives.
