Notice on Waste Collection at the Port of Jelsa

Notice on Waste Collection at the Port of Jelsa

To ensure cleanliness, tidiness, and environmental protection within the Port of Jelsa, the Port Authority organizes daily collection of municipal waste from vessels staying in the harbour. Regular and proper waste disposal helps preserve the sea, coastline, and natural environment while ensuring a more pleasant stay for all harbour users.

Waste Collection Schedule

Southern Harbour (South)

  • 06:10 – 06:30
  • 08:00 – 08:20
  • 18:30 – 18:45

Northern Harbour (North)

  • 06:30 – 06:50
  • 08:20 – 08:40
  • 18:45 – 19:00

Waste must be handed directly to the municipal waste collection staff at the collection vehicle. Harbour users are kindly requested to observe the above schedule to help maintain the cleanliness and order of the harbour area.

If you are unable to hand over your waste during the scheduled collection times, please contact the Harbour Warden, who will provide further instructions on the proper disposal of waste.

Important Information

  • Disposal of waste on public areas is strictly prohibited.
  • Improper waste disposal is subject to financial penalties (fines).

Separate Waste Collection

Separated waste (paper, plastic, glass, and other recyclable materials) should be disposed of in the recycling containers located at the central parking area in Jelsa.
