12th ANATOMY OF ISLANDS
Invitation to participate in a scientific and professional symposium
Jelsa, Hvar Island, September 26 – 28, 2024
The topic of the 12th Anatomy of Islands symposium is life on islands, geographically specific areas with all their infrastructural, social, and cultural challenges.
Presentation topics include:
- Island migrations as a way of life
- Island communities
- Children and youth on islands
- Aging population on islands
- Island spaces and island populations
Location:
Jelsa, Ceremonial Hall in the Municipality Building
Registration Fee:
- 60 euros per person
- 40 euros for students
The registration fee includes a booklet of abstracts, an excursion, and a closing dinner. Participants cover their own travel and accommodation costs. Members of the association “Anatomy of Islands – Center for Research and Development” receive a 20% discount on the registration fee. Admission to the symposium is free for the interested population of Hvar Island. Residents of Jelsa, all Hvar residents, and islanders from other islands are more than welcome to attend the symposium. Your participation is valuable to us.

Languages:
The official languages of the symposium are Croatian and English. The organizers will provide simultaneous translation.
