Presentation of Ivan Cvitanić’s Book in Jelsa
On Wednesday, August 19 at 9:00 PM, at St. John’s Square in Jelsa, the book “100 Things Every Foranin Should Know About For”, written by Ivan Cvitanić, will be presented.
The book features one hundred fascinating stories and accounts about For—its people, customs, language, traditions, and everyday life, offering readers an insight into the island’s rich cultural heritage and the unique way of life on Hvar.
Through the book, author Ivan Cvitanić presents stories and traditions that are an important part of the island’s identity in a simple, engaging, and distinctive way, preserving them from being forgotten and bringing them closer to new generations.
The evening’s special guest will be Katarina Makjanić, who will take part in the presentation and discussion about the book, its creation, and the importance of preserving local heritage.
We invite everyone who loves Hvar, island heritage, and a good local story to join us for the presentation of Ivan Cvitanić’s book and spend an evening discovering stories about For.
