Island Dialogue: E-mobility
As part of the project “Energy Transition of Islands”, the Island Movement is organizing an island dialogue on E-mobility
The dialogue will take place on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM, and you can follow it live on the Island Movement Facebook page.
The dialogue will discuss the future of e-mobility, exploring aspects such as the development of renewable energy sources, the implementation of green hydrogen projects, the improvement of public transport and the promotion of the use of electric vehicles. The island dialogue brings together experts who will jointly explore sustainable approaches and innovations in mobility, with a focus on the energy transition of islands.
Experts at the island dialogue
Ivan Zoković, moderator
Expert in the development of communities, cooperatives and renewable energy projects. He is an active member of the Island Movement and a member of three cooperatives: the Apsyrtides energy cooperative on the Cres-Lošinj archipelago, the Novi otok cooperative on the island of Korčula, and the Green Energy Cooperative in Zagreb. The partners will develop 17 different projects over a period of 6 years. Last year, they received 25 million euros in grants from the Horizon competition, and the estimated value of the investment in the Valley is estimated at almost 700 million euros. Among the most important goals of the project is the establishment of a complete ecosystem based on green hydrogen in various sectors, especially those industries that are difficult to decarbonize, but also in heavy transport. The planned production is at least 5000t, of which cross-border exchange must be at least 20%. The North Adriatic Hydrogen Valley is the first transnational hydrogen valley in the world and was declared the best hydrogen valley in the EU in 2023.
